                          KERALA TOUR

Houseboat, Kerala

Portuguese Architecture

Coconut tree, Back water

Kerala is called God's own country.
Kerala waits all year round for its tourists to decorate the form. So different forms of Kerala in different seasons of the year take away the minds of tourists. Decorated with hills, jungles, rivers, seas and tea gardens, Kerala is known to tourists as God's own country for its natural beauty. In every moment of this trip we felt why Kerala is called God's own country.

Our Kerala trip was for seven days.
In these seven days we covered Waynad, Kochi, Munnar and Thekkadi. We are going to Waynad from Howrah to Mysore. We arrived at the KTDC Pepper Grove Resort. There is a restaurant with a very nicely arranged resort. We took help of Wego app for hotel booking in Kerala. With the help of this app you will find hotels in 113 countries including India very easily and at affordable prices. Lunch was served with Kerala dis .Then we rented a car  and went out for site scene.

First I came to see the Edakkal Cave. The view from above is very beautiful. Arriving at the Cave we were surprised. Cave paintings of primitive people written in the pages of history are in front of our eyes today. This cave painting was made during the stone age around 600 BC. Perhaps there is a link between these cave paintings and the Indus Valley Civilization. Then we went to see Karapuzha Lake. The lake is very beautiful to see, surrounded by mountains, crystal clear water lake. The next morning I had breakfast and went out to see the rest of the Waynad. First I reached near Banasura Sagar Dam. It is the largest dam in India and the second largest in Asia. This dam has boating facilities. There is a beautiful park nearby and sometimes the call of peacock can be heard from a distance.

Then I went to Meenmutty Waterfall .We proceeded along the rocky road through the forest to see the waterfall. Several pepper gardens can be seen along the road. A little further on I saw the original waterfall much higher. You have to reach there by holding a rope over the river inside the forest. The road is very inaccessible. We went to have lunch after seeing the waterfall. We had lunch with local river fish fried ,dal, rice. After lunch we proceeded to see Pukkod Lake. The road to go is extremely beautiful and all around is just greener and greener. After spending sometime, we are moving towards Lakkidi View Points. The spiral road looks beautiful from above. Arriving in Kochi early in the next morning. I stayed at a hotel in Fort Kochi, a very nice hotel. After breakfast I took an auto and went out for the site scene.

First I arrived at St. Francis Church, a very nice little church. Here is the tomb of Bhasko-da-Gama.  Then we saw the Indian Naval Maritime Museum. After visiting the museum we proceeded to see the beautiful church of Santa Cruz Cathedral Basilica Church. Then we came to a Jain Temple. Arrived in the afternoon to go boating in Kochi backwaters and our boat sailed over the crystal clear water canal. Here I saw Chinese fishing nets and many birds in the mangrove forest. There are many coconut trees on both sides and overall this boating was very good.

Now we are moving towards Munnar. There is a wonderful view of nature on both sides of the road. Then we came to Cheeyappara Waterfall. It is one of the waterfall's on the roads of Kochi and Munnar. In several steps, water is pouring down the hill. A little further on I saw Vallara Waterfall. It was evening when we reached Munnar.

The next morning I left for a trip to Eravikulam National Park. I could see the amazing view of the garden on both sides, as far as the eye could see, the green tea garden was wrapped in carpet. You can go to Munnar anytime you want. You can see different forms of Munnar in different seasons of the year. This National Park is famous for Neelakurinji flowers. These flowers bloom every 12 years. The amazing nature of Kerala will win the hearts of any travel lover.

Bhutan is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The official name of Bhutan is kingdom of Bhutan. About 75% of the people in the country believe in Buddhism and 23% in Hinduism. Thimphu is the capital and largest city of Bhutan. The city is located in a high valley in the Himalayas. About 70% of Bhutan is forested. These forests have been conserving Bhutan's biodiversity for centuries. Bhutan is the only country in the world that is carbon negative.

A country of clean splendor is always ready to welcome you with a smile. The journey to this country begins with Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. All in all we went out to taste the amazing Himalayan look. By road you have to reach Thimphu, 156 k.m from Phontsheling. By air you can come to Bhutan's only airport "Paro". You move from there to Thimphu. You can also take a flight to Bagdogra Airport and from there you can go to Jaigaon Border. The most popular way to reach Bhutan by road is to reach Thimphu via the Jaigaon border. The nearest railway station on the Jaigaon border is Hasimara. The Kanchanakanya Up train leaves from Sealdah at 8.30 p.m and reaches Hasimara station at 12 noon the next day. The distance from Hasimara station to Jaigaon border is only 14 k.m.

Looks like we're in a shiny city in Europe or America like the picture. After the descent, our car stopped in a small park. The Falk Heritage Museum is written in large letters on the main door in front. We went ahead by cutting 50 rupees per ticket. A very beautiful museum in the field covered with grass carpet. Very good place to take photos. Going a little further, I saw a machine for grinding paddy using the flow of water. This three-story museum seems to be made of clay.

Then I came to  National Institute for Zorig Chusum. Here I noticed an excellent artistic impression in all the houses. It's like seeing the mastery of color from the extraordinary artwork. The paintings on the walls here also express the value of art. Much of its credit goes to this Institute. Lots of students here are students of different arts. Entrance fee is 100 rupees per person. When you enter here, you will see many students engaged in various activities. Mostly practical. From the paintings on the walls to the work of cement, sculptures, costumes, stone work, everything is in this work of art. Then our car drove towards the next destination. Thimphu Jung on the left, the picturesque environment surrounded by mountains will not let your eyes move. Here is the King's house. Then we came to Chang Gangkha Monastery. At the head of a small hill in the heart of the city, this monastery looks amazing. From here you can see the whole city of Thimphu in a wonderful way.

Our next destination is Thimphu's biggest attraction Buddhapoint or Buddha Dotrama. The title of the world's largest Buddha city has not yet been found because its construction is still ongoing. It is located at the top of a hill in Thimphu in such a way that you can see this huge metallic Buddhist Statue at the sight of the entire city. The tip on the forehead of this statue is made of gold and in the middle is a huge diamond. There are many stars around the Buddha and there are many small Buddha Statues in the Sanctum Sanctorum. Buddha is meditating at the very top of a shiny paved part. A spiritual feeling here will captivate your mind. Below is the entire city of Thimphu at the feet of this deity.

Our car started descending through the hillside. We came to Memorial Cherten. This Buddhist Stupa is quiet large. The green grass carpet in front and the milky white monument are amazing in one word. The entrance fee here is 300 rupees. The main heart of Thimphu is Clock Tower Square. From here there is a children's park along the river near the bus stand. The red and yellow color of the leaves during the autumn makes the atmosphere even more romantic. The fast flowing "Zoo" river of Thimphu is flowing loudly. Plastic bags and tobacco products are completely banned in Bhutan.

                Agra ,Fatehpur Sikri Tour

Tajmahal, Agra
Fatehpur Sikri
Agra Fort

Agra is a famous city in the Indian
State of Uttar Pradesh, situated on the banks of the river Yomuna. The city of Agra is a unique example of the architectural fames created by the Mughal Emperors. Tourists flock to Agra to see all the beautiful forts and monuments. The shortest way to reach Agra is to take a flight from any part of India to Delhi. Agra can be reached in three to four hours by train, bus or car from Delhi. We reached Agra by train. We reached the hotel by auto from outside Agra Fort station. We freshened up at the hotel and went out to see the Tajmahal. Voter ID or Adhar card of Indians is mandatory for entering the Tajmahal. Passports and visas are required for foreigners. We entered the Tajmahal in front of the entrance on a ticket of 50 rupees per person. I have seen the Tajmahal many times in books and on TV since I was little, but standing in front of it and seeing it with my own eyes is a wonderful feeling.

The Mughal Emperor Sajahan built this royal memorial on the south bank of the Yomuna in memory of his third and beloved wife Mamtaz. The Tajmahal is one of the seventh wonders of the world. It is amazing to think that we are standing in one of the seven wonders of the world. All the wonderful carvings carved on white marble and the colourful stone designs brought from different countries. Every corner of the Tajmahal has touches of Mughal and Persian architecture. The magnificent appearance of the Tajmahal in the sunlight at different times of the day attracts all the visitors like a magnet. The river Yomuna flows behind the Tajmahal. Lots of pelicans are floating and flying in the calm waters of Yomuna. Agra Fort in the distance. No matter how much I see the Tajmahal, my mind is not full.

Then we started our journey towards Agra Fort. Sometimes I picked up lunch from a restaurant. After lunch I reached in front of Agra Fort. I bought a ticket and proceeded inside. Lots of tourists from home and abroad are here. Agra Fort looks like a walled city. UNESCO has designated Agra Fort as a World Heritage Site like the Tajmahal, where the Mughal Emperors lived. The Agra Fort is a remarkable reminder of Mughal architecture. The Tajmahal looks very beautiful from Agra Fort. The Agra Fort is very big and it will take a long time to visit the whole fort. On the way back from Agra Fort, I visited Dewani -Am and went out. We got back to the hotel.

The next morning we arrived at Mehta Bagh Taj view point. We came here to see the view of the Tajmahal during the morning sunrise. Mehta Bagh is a garden complex on the opposite side of the Tajmahal on the other side of the river Yomuna. The gate of Mehta Bagh opens at 7 in the morning. Tickets can be bought for Rs. 25 per person. Several birds were also seen in Mehta Bagh. We got out of Mehta Bagh and had breakfast. Then we freshened up at the hotel and went to Fatehpur Sikri in an auto.

The distance from Agra to Fatehpur Sikri is 34 km. There are many places to visit in Fatehpur Sikri. It will be better if you take the guide first. Then it will be easier to look around and save a lot of time. We reached Fatehpur Sikri and we are standing in front of Dewani Khas. Akbar used to hold his Navaratna Sabha here and nine ministers used to sit around him. There were discussions and reviews on various topics. After the Dewani Khas we saw the treasury saying that valuable treasures and precious stones were kept here. I saw water tank, Dewan Khanahi Khas etc. Then we walked around Jodhabai Palace to the last palace. As soon as we entered through the royal door, the lofty door fell to our left. In front is the Dargah of Selim Chisti ,with his blessing, Akbar's wife Jodhabai gave birth to a son. With that happiness, Akbar made Fatehpur Sikri his second capital.

We booked hotels in Agra through Wego app. Hotels of different budgets are available in Agra. The cost of food in Agra is 150-200 rupees per meal. Both veg and non-veg dishes are available here. Two days is enough to travel the whole of Agra.

There are plenty of hotels to stay in Darjeeling. The most popular app for online hotel booking is the Wego app. From Darjeeling Mall we went to the hotel. Our hotel is located on Gandhi Road. From here you can see the whole view of Darjeeling. If the sky is clear, Kanchenjunga can be seen from the hotel room. Thanks to Wego app for finding such a beautiful hotel in a place like Darjeeling. Leaving the hotel, we went to Kunga Restaurant for lunch. Basically Kunga Restaurant is famous for Tibetan food. After lunch, I booked a car for tomorrow's site scene and came to the mall and sat down. After spending some time in the mall, I walked towards the Mahakala Temple. The four sides of this ancient Mahakala Temple are quite silent and the whole place is covered with pine forest. Due to the high altitude of the place, the city of Darjeeling can be seen quite well. The city is slowly being surrounded by clouds and is moving away in a while. We returned to the mall. There are street food shops on both sides of the mall.

The evening is coming down across the city. We came for dinner at a bengali restaurant called Sholoana Bangali. I returned to the hotel after having dinner with Polao, Chital and Vhetki Bhapa. I removed the window curtains and lay down on the bed and fell asleep watching the night vision of Darjeeling.

The next day I got up at three in the morning and went out ready to watch the sunrise from Tiger Hill. There is a taxi union near Darjeeling Mall. Taxis are available from here. I enjoyed the amazing view of the sunrise from behind Kanchenjunga. Kanchenjunga is clearly visible from Tiger Hill. Below is the city of Darjeeling. From Tiger Hill we moved to Ghoom Monastery. Photography is prohibited inside beautiful, small monastery. Outside the monastery, local people are selling all sorts of things to get temporary shops. After visiting the Ghoom Monastery we went to Batasia Loop . Here you have to buy a ticket and go inside. Tickets cost 20 rupees. This is basically a circular park. From here also Kanchenjunga can be seen in a beautiful way. Binoculars are also available for rent here to see Kanchenjunga. The toy train line formed a circular loop, hence the name Batasia Loop. Here the local people have set up shop.

Then we moved to Darjeeling's famous Rock Garden. The place has been built by cutting stones on the hill. There is a beautiful fountain here. Water is coming down step by step from very high. On the way back from the Rock Garden I saw the Orange Valley Tea Estate. There is a green tea garden in front and Kanchenjunga in the background. After visiting the tea garden, we went to Darjeeling Zoo. The place is quite beautiful but very crowded here. You can enter here with a ticket of 30 rupees per head. There are various animals here. I saw a lot of animals in the Himalayas and its foothills. It was best to see the red panda.

Then we went to HMI where various mountaineering courses are done. There is a very large museum where photography is prohibited. The museum has a statue of Edmund Hillary, the first Everest Conqueror. Then we went to see the Japanese Buddhist Temple and Pagoda. The place is quite beautiful and the road through the jungle. The Peace Pagoda is very beautiful and contains a golden Buddha Statue. There are very beautiful flowers and orchid trees here. Then we went to the Keventers Restaurant for lunch. The evening is coming down to the city and slowly the clouds are enveloping the entire city of Darjeeling. Then we left for the hotel.I woke up the next morning and took a toy train to Darjeeling's Ghoom Railway Station. Great experience will make you want to go again and again.

           KONARK  SUN  TEMPLE  ,TOUR

Konark sun temple
Konark, Puri

                          The Konark Sun Temple, also
Known as the Black Pagoda. The Sun Temple is one of the most notable destinations in Puri,Orissa. It's not just the Sun Temple, this temple is the mirror of everything in ancient Indian civilization, culture, sociology. According to experts, the walls of this temple speak. Speaking of the wonderful art of the temple. The distance from Puri to Konark Sun Temple is 34 k.m. which takes about 1 hour to go. You can also rent a car from Puri to get around. The full car rental is 700-800 rupees. Chandrabhaga Sea Beach is the beach near the Konark Sun Temple. However, this sea was very close to the entrance of the temple before. Over time the sea moves a bit so there is no sea in front of the temple today. There is a forest of palm trees and cashew trees. The story of the history of Konark Sun Temple begins from this Chandrabhaga beach.

Lord Krishna's son Shambo was very handsome but due to Krishna's Curse he got leprosy. As a result his beautiful face became extremely ugly. Then he took refuge in the forest on the shores of this Chandrabhaga with sorrow in his mind. While meditating on the beach, he got a vision of the Sun God. With the blessing of the Sun God Shambo's skin disease is cured and he regains his old form. But this is the old story. According to doctors bathing in the salt water of the sea cures many skin diseases.Chandrabhaga beach bathing festival is celebrated every year. Then people come in groups to bathe on the shores of this Chandrabhaga.

After Shambo was cured, in 1238, king Narsingh built this temple of Lord Surya by the sea at present-day Konark to proclaim the glory of the Sun God. 1200 artisans built this temple in 12 years. The construction of this temple cost 12 years of revenue which is 400 million gold coins. According to the history of Orissa, Kalapahar attacked and destroyed this temple in 1508. Then in 1626 king Narasimhadeva removed the original idol of Suryadev from here and placed it in the temple of Puri. Later, during the Maratha rule, many parts of the temple were demolished as they were considered unnecessary. Earlier, the port of Konark was located near this Konark Temple. The strong magnet at the top of the temple attracted the ships of the sea and the compass of the distracted ship. As a result, all these ships were docked at the port of Konark. As a result, Portuguese pirates also came to this port and they looted the valuable things of the temple.

By 1800, the temple had lost all its glory and lay in ruins. Many parts of the temple are buried in the sand. The floor of the temple and area are gradually covered with dense forests. The temple is home to wild animals and is also a haven for pirates and robbers. As a result no people would come to this area. The temple was later excavated by archaeologists in 1904 under the supervision of Lord Curzon. Currently, this temple belongs to the World Heritage Site. This temple is made of gray sandstone. From a distance, the temple looks black, hence the name Black Pagoda. This temple is built in the shape of a chariot.

As you enter the main gate of the temple, you will see statues of two lions with two elephants underneath and people hid under the trunk of the elephant. Here the lion is the symbol of strength and the elephant is the symbol of wealth. People are dying in the midst of power and wealth. Before entering this temple, one has to leave the attitude of power and wealth and go to the temple.

                                   The word Konark comes
from Cain, meaning Angle, and Orc, meaning Sun. Since this temple in Konark is dedicated to the Sun God, every part of this temple has been built using the science of the sun. The theater has three doors. Through these three gates, in all seasons of the year, the morning light of the sun went to the Sun God inside the main temple. There were seven horses to pull the main temple in the shape of a chariot. At present almost all but a few parts of a horse are destroyed. These seven horses symbolize the seven days of the week. The number of wheels in the chariot is 12 pairs, which means twelve months of the year. These wheels are not ordinary wheels. These wheels are a sundial. These wheels have eight spokes which represents eight hours of the day. One of these wheels still gives locally accurate time like a sundial.

The entire temple is made of stone with iron beams and iron clamps. The temple has been built in a very perfect way. Scattered throughout the temple are stone carvings of God's, animals, birds, myths, dancers dancing. The sun idol of the original temple of the past was made of eight metals. Every stone in this temple, every statue, every image wants to say something. Everything in the temple has a meaning. This temple still attracts thousands of visitors everyday.

               Ajanta, Ellora Caves Tour

Ajanta caves
Ajanta caves
Ajanta caves

                             Ajanta and Ellora Caves are
located in Aurangabad district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. These caves are located on a hill near Ajanta village near Jalgaon railway station in Aurangabad district. It is located about 105 km north of Aurangabad and about 108 km north east of Ellora. These caves have been created by cutting and carving stones from deep steep ravines. 30 caves have been discovered here. Experts believe that the caves were built between 200 BC and 600 AD. In the caves, artists compete with each other to paint their artwork on the cave walls. Which became one of the unique assets in the art history of human civilization.

The caves were gradually abandoned when Emperor Harisena's reign ended in 480 AD. This incomparable fame sinks into the darkness of oblivion. The forest consumes the whole area. The caves became habitats for snakes and other wild animals. In this state, century after century passes.

In 1819, John Smith, a British army officer in the Madras Presidency, hunted tigers in the jungle and found caves. Curious, despite the fear of bats, snakes and other small animals, John Smith enters. He was astonished to see the art of the cave. Then archeological expedition started here. The state of Maharashtra in the south western region of India is a very important archeological site. These caves are made by cutting the rocky hills of Charanandri. These caves were designated World Heritage Sites in 1983 for their vastness and beauty. The caves in this granite rock mountain have 17 Hindu Temples, 12 Buddhist Temples and 5 Jain Temples. These temples are thought to have been built between the 4th and 9th centuries during the reigns of the Kalachuri, Chalukyas and the Rashtrakuta dynasty. Among them are carved multi-storey, dwelling, shrine, kitchen and other rooms.

At the time of the discovery of Ajanta Caves, it was shapped like a horse's shoe. The cave door opens at 9 a.m and closes at 5 p.m .If you go inside the cave you will see the balcony first. Behind the balcony is a spacious pavilion with pillars. Houses for the use of residential monks on three sides of the spacious pavilion.

The story of Buddha is engraved at the base of the cave and the story of Jatak, Mayadevi's dream, Suddhodhana Rajsabha, The birth of Buddha, Bodhisattva Padmapani, Buddha and Bodhi Sattvas, Abaltikeshwar, Buddha statue seated on Dharmachakra Mudra etc. The form of Sravasti can be seen here. The carved animals seem to be alive and talking here. There are carved animals like elephants, horses, deer, monkeys, ducks etc. Normal form in the decoration of herbs. Here you will also see the beautiful feeling of the female body. Women are sometimes portrayed as mothers, sometimes as lovers, sometimes as priests and sometimes as maids. This painting is wide with the personality of the queen, the humility of the priestess and the dance of the dancer.

These caves were once the heart of the Buddhists. Many travellers have come here in different eras. Notable among these is the Chinese traveler Hiuen Tsang. Among the caves, caves 1,11,16,17,19,21 and 29 show a collection paintings. Archaeologists believe that caves 9 and 10 are the oldest. It took about 400 years to build. Famous artists Debabrata Mukherjee has divided these caves into two parts according to the construction period.                                   The most notable aspect of the Ajanta image is the expression of the dynamics of the idol or image.                         DOOARS TOUR

Bhutan Valley
Bhutan Mountains
Brahmaputra River

                          The two most popular forests
on the tourists map of West Bengal are the Sundarbans in the far south and the Dooars in the north. Both are attractive to forest -loving tourists. Dooars refers to a flat forested area of 350 km long and about 40 km wide, from the Teesta River near Siliguri to the Dhansiri River in Assam to the east, from the foot of the Bhutanese Mountains to the Brahmaputra River. The Sankoshi River, which flows through the West Bengal and Assam, divides the Dooars. This part of Dooars in Assam east of Sankoshi River is called East Dooars or Assam Dooars and on the other hand this part of Dooars from Sankoshi River to Teesta River in West Bengal is called West Dooars or Bengal Dooars.

                         There has been a tremendous
improvement in the tourism system centered on the Bengal Dooars. The three main forests in Dooars are Garumara ,Jaldapara and Buxa Jayanti. The best time for this trip is from October to February. If you want to go by train, you can get off at Newjalpaiguri Station and from there you can go to Dooars by hired car. There is also bus communication. Once on the plane, you have to get off at Bagdogra Airport. There are public and private hotel, resorts, in Dooars. I reached Dooars to see the small hills on either side of the dense green forest, tea garden.

After lunch we went to the Medla Watch Tower. We reached the Medla Watch Tower through the jungle, tea garden. The Watch Tower is surrounded by dense forest on one side and the Murti River on the other. Here I saw a rhinoceros, peacock and bison. Back at the hotel in the evening, I had a good time watching the indigenous women sing and dance. Dooars mean not only forests but also the diversity of nature. To get that taste, we went out and first we reached the Murti River.

I started the journey again in the dense forest of Chapramari. There are rows of rubber trees on the side of the road. There are many watch towers in the forest of Garumara such as Rhinopoint, Chukchuki, Chapramari etc. The river Jaldhaka flows by the side of Jhalong village. An unnamed Bhutanese village can be seen in the hills beside the Jaldhaka river. Then we went up the hill slope to Rocky Island. The river Murti flows loudly through the big boulder.

Then we proceeded towards Jaldapara National Park. If you want to spend the night in the forest environment, you must stay in the Halong Bungalow. Wild animals can be seen sitting at home through the glass windows of the two -storey wooden bungalow. A part from jeep safaris elephant safaris are also well organized in Jaldapara. In this forest you can see many bison, one horned rhinoceros, peacock, elephant etc. A part of Jaldapara forest is known as Chilapata forest. In addition to the animals in the forest, the mind is filled even if you feel the form and silence of nature.
